2idi I-Broker Directions
2idi is the developer of the first i-broker software (OpenSource) and continues to participate in its technical and social development on the IBroker-Dev and IdCommons wikis and mailing lists (see OpenSource/Resources for more links and pointers). This wiki is a place for 2idi and our partners to collect and develop ideas to make the i-broker code more useful, usable, and valuable to our users.
Our Committment to Open Source
The i-broker software that 2idi has developed as contractor to IdentityCommons is dual licensed under BSD and GPL licenses to enable the broadest possible range of uses and widest distribution of the code. This enables companies that want to be i-brokers - such as 2idi - to create proprietary extensions to the code if they so desire. In order to increase trust and eliminate customer lock-in, 2idi pledges that all of its "proprietary" changes will be distributed under the AGPL license. (This does not include extensions that we may make under contract for some third-party site - it just covers the i-broker(s) that we ourselves operate.)
